Affected by the nasty “Lovesan” worm? Get rid of it.

Lovesan has wrecked many a computer around the world, including some well prepared ones with firewall and whatNot. There is some very timely info from Mcafee on how to deal with this virus, especially if your SVCHOST.EXE is crashing and keeping you from starting your machine at all.

Also contains a link to the Microsoft very useful help website (as good as post-hoc help can get, that is) with all the SOS info you need.

This is a good reminder to keep your firewall in stealth mode (e.g., Zonealarm) and your antivirus updated (e.g., Grisoft’s FREE AVG). Also, regularly visit Windows Updates.
